Position Overview
The role is centered around the development and execution of sustainability strategies throughout the global supply chain, ensuring coherence with corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives, regulatory mandates, and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in sustainable sourcing, circular economy principles, carbon footprint reduction, and supplier engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and spearhead the sustainability strategy for the supply chain, incorporating ESG principles.
- Identify and prioritize feasibility studies to assess the economic and product viability of sustainability initiatives across all global brands.
- Lead the emissions reduction strategy within the supply chain, with a primary focus on the beef emissions reduction plan and its pilot execution.
- Oversee the development and implementation of animal welfare policies, particularly regarding chicken.
- Assist the Global Sustainability team in crafting the Sustainability strategy of the organization and preparing the Restaurant Brands for Good report.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment for the roll-out of all sustainability initiatives, engaging both business teams and support functions (Procurement, QA, Legal).
- Prepare and present executive-level reports focused on supply chain sustainability performance and strategy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA with a specialization in Supply Chain or Finance is preferred.
- 7-12 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, sustainability, or ESG roles.
- Demonstrated success in implementing sustainability initiatives within complex, global supply chains.
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting tools.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and project management.
- Experience with data analytics and tools for monitoring sustainability metrics.
- Able to influence and drive change across diverse teams and geographical locations.
- Fluency in English is required.
