PhD Student for Experiments with Dense Coulomb Clouds

Your Tasks

• Set up a spectrometer to measure coherent radiation emitted by electron beams
• Measure the dependence of the spectrum on the accelerator set-up
• Utilize experimental data alongside numerical models to understand interactions in dense coulomb clouds
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers
• Present results at conferences and workshops, and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications

Your Profile

• Master's degree in physics or engineering
• Strong experimental skills
• Knowledge of accelerator physics is an additional benefit
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and writing skills
