Role Overview

This strategically significant position involves defining and implementing appropriate connectivity standards for various applications and topologies, as well as ensuring the coordination and application of industrial standards for field devices. You will select suitable technologies for IIoT applications and optimized user experiences, while actively participating in organizations such as the PI Foundation, ODVA, or OPC Foundation to align GF-specific requirements within new standards. Familiarity with system topologies, particularly in water treatment or wet process systems, is essential. Responsibilities also include overseeing the design and standardization of HMIs, including field displays and mobile apps.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and drive a connectivity strategy across sensor systems, valve actuators, and accessories, ensuring seamless integration and future-ready solutions.
• Establish and harmonize cutting-edge protocols and physical standards that unify and elevate the product range.
• Monitor emerging trends in connectivity and turn insights into actionable strategies.
• Develop impactful technical documentation, product guides, training resources, and sales tools for global teams and customers.
• Represent the company in standardization bodies and working groups to influence the evolution of future standards.
• Collaborate with R&D teams, providing clear direction and specifications for future-proof connectivity.
• Translate technical requirements into epics and user stories to guide user-friendly mobile apps and device interfaces.

Your Profile

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electronics, physics, or an apprenticeship in mechatronics/automation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a product manager in process measuring technologies like flow sensors or liquid analysis sensors.
• Proactive nature with a strong sense of initiative and ownership.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.
• Initial experience or interest in UX Design for mobile apps or display design is advantageous.
• Customer and stakeholder orientation, result-driven mindset, teamwork, systemic thinking, and innovation will enhance your profile.
• Fluent in English, with at least basic proficiency in German; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
