Responsibilities

You will play a pivotal role in our participation in European SESAR research projects, actively engaging in our airline operations with key responsibilities including:

• Leading technical developments, conducting live operational validations, and implementing the Target Time Management System (TTMS) product in collaboration with industry partners.
• Working closely with various Operations departments, including Flight Dispatch and Operations Control, as well as external partners such as Skyguide and Zurich Airport.
• Designing and developing innovative, tailored solutions to business challenges, testing them through proof of concepts, and refining them into effective tools.
• Providing technical expertise in both back-end and front-end development for current and new prototype tools.
• Visualizing and presenting complex information to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Generating insights from operational data sets and trial results to facilitate operational improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek a motivated individual who is enthusiastic about innovative ideas, new technologies, and practical application. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A master’s degree in aviation, engineering, or data science, or a bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the airline or flight operations industry.
• Proficient skills in Python or C#; experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, Dash) is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of current IT practices (Cloud, DevOps, etc.) and an affinity for new technologies.
• The ability to create clear and effective data visualizations, applying best practices to emphasize key insights and support data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and argumentation skills, a proactive and creative mindset, and a team-oriented approach.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in German is a plus.
