W Talent is thrilled to support an aerospace manufacturing business in Nottingham, seeking to expand their dedicated engineering team. Role Overview

The key responsibilities of the position include:

• Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), including process validation and production readiness.
• Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
• Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) and production part approval processes.
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting in capacity planning, tooling requirements, and production layout improvements.
• Collaborating with Quality teams to ensure robust process control and audit readiness.
• Liaising with suppliers and external partners as necessary to support process improvements.

Qualifications

Key requirements for this role include:

• A degree, HNC, or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing, production, or process engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to commute to Nottingham on a daily basis, Monday to Friday.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) and process improvements.
• Experience supporting NPI and production process validation activities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Compensation and Career Development
