Role Overview
As a key contributor to our projects, you will play an integral role throughout all phases of development, delivering high-quality cost estimates for DAC plant projects, ensuring timely completion for critical meetings and reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation: Deliver detailed and accurate cost estimates during all project phases (FEL-0/1/2/3).
- Tools & Models: Develop, manage, and enhance cost estimation models and tools to guarantee accuracy and consistency across projects.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a trusted authority on CAPEX cost estimates, defending findings before senior management and offering strategic advice to peers.
- Value Engineering: Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs while supporting technical and commercial decision-making processes.
- Collaboration: Foster partnerships with internal teams, EPCs, and contractors to develop cost estimates transparently and cooperatively.
- Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive project cost databases and documents to support project closures and reporting.
- Innovation: Design effective estimating processes and tools specifically for direct air capture technology, encompassing both DAC machinery and supporting equipment.
Candidate Profile
- Education & Background: BSc in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in cost estimating for significant capital projects.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in scale-up or pioneering environments, handling complex CAPEX projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in recognized industry tools such as Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra, or RSMeans, with advanced skills being advantageous.
- Mindset: Self-motivated and organized, able to work independently while fostering team success.
- Integrity & Values: Consistently embody and promote our core values, leading by example through integrity and collaborative efforts.
- Communication: Fluent in English with exceptional presentation skills, able to engage effectively with colleagues and leadership.
- Flexibility: Availability to travel up to 20% for site visits and collaborations with suppliers and contractors.
