We are seeking a Tax Manager for our European Tax Centre of Excellence. In this pivotal role, you will undertake direct tax reporting and compliance responsibilities across various markets in Europe. Your insights and guidance on tax-related matters will help ensure our operations align with local regulations and meet stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit US tax reports, including quarterly current and deferred tax provisions, tax contingencies, and projections using TaxStream technology.
- Coordinate annual transfer pricing documentation, involving financial data analysis and collaboration with commercial teams and external advisors.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of annual corporate income tax returns in partnership with external advisors.
- Calculate and manage corporate income tax payments.
- Liaise with tax authorities as necessary.
- Prepare annual tax disclosures for statutory financial statements, addressing queries from external auditors and including current and deferred tax provisions.
- Monitor and analyze changes in tax legislation, assess their impact, and communicate findings to business partners.
- Participate in internal projects to ensure direct tax compliance, providing advisory support and leveraging third-party resources as needed.
- Support initiatives for standardization, automation, and ongoing improvement in tax processes, managing risks and utilizing advancements in tax technology.
- Assist other markets with various tax-related matters as required.
- Ensure proper engagement and approval of third-party resources in accordance with the COE strategy.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Adviser.
- Extensive experience in tax compliance, ideally within a practice or multinational corporate tax environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting provisions, principles, statutory audits, and financial statement disclosure requirements in at least one European jurisdiction.
- Familiarity with indirect taxes is desirable.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
