About the ETH AI Center

The ETH AI Center serves as Switzerland's central hub for artificial intelligence, uniting researchers from diverse departments. We promote research excellence, industry innovation, and entrepreneurship in AI, aiming to create trustworthy, accessible, and inclusive AI systems benefiting society. Since its inception in autumn 2020, the ETH AI Center has supported a growing community of leading researchers, industry partners, and startups.

Project Overview

Positioned at the heart of Switzerland's expanding AI ecosystem, the ETH AI Center organizes the AI+X Summit, one of the nation’s largest gatherings focused on AI research, industry, and policy. In collaboration with the Greater Zurich Area, we co-launched the Zurich AI Festival in 2025, enhancing our public outreach. Furthermore, we are co-initiators of AI House Davos, a platform for global discussions on trustworthy AI during the World Economic Forum.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take the lead in establishing and maintaining the ETH AI Center's digital infrastructure for events. Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and managing event webpages and applications.
  • Overseeing registration systems.
  • Developing automation workflows to streamline operations for flagship events.
  • Collaborating with the Event Manager and Communications team to ensure public-facing content is clean, functional, and aligned with the brand.

Candidate Profile

We seek a tech-savvy problem solver with a keen eye for design and user experience who enjoys creating scalable solutions for high-impact events and digital outreach.

Essential Qualifications

  • A university degree, preferably with exposure to AI topics or international affairs.
  • Professional fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Strong experience in building web applications and using automation tools (e.g., AEM, Make.com, Google Developer Console, Typeform, Inxmail, Mailchimp, Zapier, Wix Velo).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and a working knowledge of APIs for data transfer and service integrations.
  • Experience with databases, maintaining data integrity, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and metrics reporting (e.g., Google Analytics, basic SEO, UTM tagging).
  • Comfortable with custom code integrations and collaboration with developers.
  • Hands-on experience managing event websites and online registration systems.
  • Understanding of user experience, digital design, and accessibility standards.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with marketing, events, and communications teams.
  • Knowledge of data privacy practices (GDPR compliance) and experience with CRM integrations.
