The ETH AI Center serves as ETH's central hub for artificial intelligence, uniting researchers from various departments to foster AI foundations, applications, and implications. Project Overview
Our flagship event, the AI+X Summit, has quickly established itself as one of Switzerland's largest and most dynamic gatherings for AI research, industry, and policy. In collaboration with the Greater Zurich Area, we launched the Zurich AI Festival in 2025, enhancing our outreach efforts. Additionally, we are core stakeholders in AI House Davos, a platform for global dialogue on trustworthy AI during the World Economic Forum. To support and scale these initiatives, we seek a professional to manage the digital infrastructure of our events, ensuring smooth registration processes and well-designed event websites.
Role Overview
This position entails leading the building and maintenance of our digital infrastructure for events. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up and managing event webpages and applications
- Overseeing registration systems
- Developing automation workflows to streamline operations
- Collaborating closely with the Event Manager and Communications team to ensure clean, functional, and on-brand public-facing content
The role requires technical expertise, attention to design, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a skilled problem-solver with a passion for technology and design. The ideal candidate should possess:
- A university degree, preferably with exposure to AI or international affairs
- Professional fluency in English; German is a plus
- Experience in building web applications and using automation tools (e.g., AEM, Make.com, Google Developer Console)
- Proficiency in JavaScript and knowledge of APIs, including webhook-based data transfer
- Experience managing databases, ensuring clean data schemas, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with analytics dashboards and tools (Google Analytics, basic SEO)
- Experience managing event websites and online registration, preferably in high-profile settings
- Understanding of user experience, digital design, and accessibility standards
- Excellent collaboration skills with marketing, events, and communications teams
- Knowledge of data privacy practices and CRM integrations is a bonus
