Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Strategy and Execution: Formulate comprehensive deal strategies post-identification of opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to ensure efficient decision-making.
  • Risk and Value Assessment: Oversee due diligence processes, ensuring thorough evaluation and integration of insights into risk and value assessments.
  • Documentation Review and Negotiation: Collaborate with legal to secure business interests in transaction documents while balancing risk and reward.
  • Governance Management: Establish decision-making frameworks and manage approval processes to streamline transactions.
  • Approval-to-Closing Diligence: Ensure ongoing review of new information and collaboration with integration functions post-signing.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior M&A associates to enhance their strategic and execution capabilities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough TA landscaping and prepare comprehensive market assessments to inform capital allocation strategies.
  • Third-party Relationships: Maintain strong connections with financial advisors and stay updated on market trends.

Leadership and Collaboration

The role involves direct leadership of 4-5 associates and oversight of larger project teams, requiring effective matrix collaboration across diverse corporate functions.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Over 10 years of experience in leading complex M&A transactions globally.
  • Deep understanding of corporate strategy and financial objectives.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and identification of operational risks.
  • Strong knowledge of legal frameworks and regulatory processes associated with M&A activity.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent in business, finance, or life sciences is preferred.
