Role Description

The role involves leading external and internal communication strategies for a vast international operation, encompassing 194 countries and 95% of the world’s population. This position allows you to shape a new consumer segment in Obesity medicine while enhancing the strong heritage and brand reputation of a well-respected organization. You will oversee a team of experienced communication professionals and collaborate closely with colleagues across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with corporate goals to enhance the organization’s reputation.
  • Oversee all internal and external communication matters, ensuring timely and effective messaging across all channels.
  • Support the Executive Leadership team in crafting core narratives and messaging, media briefings, and various cross-functional projects.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including the public, shareholders, investors, and government entities.
  • Promote and protect the organization’s reputation through proactive media engagement and strategic messaging.
  • Build competencies within the communications organization to ensure preparedness for future challenges.
  • Guide and develop the communications team, ensuring optimal execution of global and regional priorities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA preferred) in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Significant experience in communications and public relations within complex multinational organizations, particularly in pharma or FMCG.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles with a proven track record in setting successful communications strategies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities and adeptness in navigating complex environments.
  • Ability to tailor communication strategies for diverse cultural landscapes while respecting local nuances.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities to drive innovation and foster development within the organization.
  • Experience in leading, coaching, and nurturing teams towards success.
  • Strong resilience and experience in crisis management.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and consulting skills.
