We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in driving growth through commercial partnerships and strategic business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development and commercial partnerships strategies for International Operations, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including Medical and Marketing.
  • Deploy resources effectively to execute strategies, focusing on negotiations and implementation of strategic business development opportunities to drive revenue and growth.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic commercial alliances, emphasizing telehealth and e-health channels.
  • Take a hands-on approach in structuring and negotiating key deals and business development opportunities.
  • Serve as a steward of governance and approval processes for strategic commercial opportunities, collaborating with regions and affiliates to prepare compelling business cases for management.
  • Enhance capability-building and knowledge management across International Operations to support independent business development strategies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of business development and partnership experts dedicated to delivering incremental value to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in commercial business development, strategy, analytics, external partnerships, and related fields.
  • Proven success in identifying growth opportunities, negotiating strategic partnerships, and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with an in-depth understanding of commercial strategy, sales channels, and new product development.
  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with both branded and generic businesses is a plus.
  • Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced degree in business, marketing, business innovation, finance, economics, or a related field.

About the Team

The International Operations Business Development function, established two years ago within the Business Integrity, Legal, and Compliance department, is evolving from a start-up to a scale-up. The team focuses on pursuing commercial partnerships and revenue-generating business development for in-market brands, particularly in GLP-1 injectables, working with regional counterparts and local affiliates to develop and implement impactful strategies.
