Your Role and Responsibilities

In our dynamic international environment, you will play an essential role within our Global Technical Service team based in Baden, Switzerland. As part of your responsibilities, you will:

  • Facilitate efficient resolution of product issues by identifying technical solutions in collaboration with product representatives and external partners.
  • Manage commercial warranty and goodwill cases, balancing long-term customer relationships with company interests while keeping a close eye on costs.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analyses, initiating proactive measures to mitigate risks and leverage business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships, promoting the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure consulting assignments and provide valuable technical support to the sales team.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and tools, ensuring compliance with regulations and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Coach and guide consultants to execute assignments with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Be prepared for global travel as needed, approximately 25% of the time.

Your Background and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of relevant products, applications, and customer requirements in the turbocharger market.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in technical customer consulting, with a commitment to continuously grow your expertise in the turbocharging sector.
  • Conflict and project management capabilities, with a proven ability in customer negotiations seen as an advantage.
  • A strong commitment to safe work practices and adherence to workplace safety guidelines.
  • Familiarity with field bus systems, especially CAN.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and eagerness to learn about emerging technologies.
  • Proven management skills, emphasizing collaboration, solution-oriented approaches, and effective communication in both written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
