Overview
Our client is embarking on a strategic transformation aimed at enhancing its data integration capabilities. This initiative focuses on analyzing and documenting the existing integration layer, which operates on Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle, to define requirements for a future architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current data integration logic.
- Document embedded business logic within ETL and SQL views.
- Define implementation-ready requirements for the new architecture.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and downstream teams.
Experience Requirements
A strong background in the banking domain is essential, with 5 to 9 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing data consumption patterns of assigned applications.
- Identifying and documenting business logic from PowerCenter and Oracle views.
- Translating findings into structured technical requirements.
Essential Skills
- Requirements Engineering: Proven expertise in crafting precise, high-quality technical and business requirements.
- SQL Expertise: Strong command of Oracle SQL is essential.
- ETL Understanding: Ability to interpret ETL logic, particularly PowerCenter.
- Communication: Proficiency in English, enabling effective engagement with both technical and business teams.
- Banking Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with banking processes, including positions, transactions, and instruments.
- Independence: A self-sufficient approach, capable of working under pressure.
- Hands-on Experience: Practical experience with PowerCenter and understanding of banking use cases or data migration projects.
Analysis and Specification Responsibilities
The integration layer must be thoroughly analyzed to define requirements for applications impacted by re-wiring. Responsibilities include:
- Understanding data flows within the integration layer and collaborating with affected applications to specify necessary changes.
- Specifying functionality for applications where business logic resides within the integration layer.
- Implementing re-wiring of new source systems in exception cases.
Additional Experience and Skills
- Proficient in Oracle SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, and Requirements Engineering, crucial for documenting data flows and business logic.
- Ability to analyze complex data flows and translate them into clear, concise requirements for data mapping.
- Strong grasp of requirements engineering principles, including elicitation and management of requirements.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or an equivalent level of experience is required.
