Your Role

As a key member of our team, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead small to medium-sized projects within the Core domain.
• Facilitate architectural discussions with core network vendors to define necessary evolutions in our network.
• Conduct internal technical forums to introduce new functionalities, resolve complex issues, and map future solutions.
• Critically assess vendor technical proposals, considering feasibility, timelines, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Review and finalize vendor scopes of work, preparing them for commercial negotiations.
• Own the 3-year Core Network Software & Hardware roadmap, guiding discussions with vendors in line with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with domain experts to create a unified vision and internal consensus.
• Prepare impactful communication materials regarding core network evolution for stakeholders and partners.
• Work collaboratively within a team of architects and technical experts to shape the future of our core network.
• Take responsibility for your technical decisions while leading selected projects to achieve the defined architectures and processes.

What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
• Over 7 years of experience in core Voice Network domains.
• A minimum of 3 years leading projects in a Telco environment.
• Expertise in Circuit-Switched (CS) and IMS networks.
• Hands-on experience with live networks, beyond documentation and meeting discussions.
• Capability in defining core network architectures and evolutionary strategies.
• Understanding of cloud environments and the associated challenges.
• Experience with Nokia core network equipment is a plus.
• A continuous learner mindset: curious, self-driven, and eager to explore projects outside your comfort zone.
• The ability to articulate a long-term vision while maintaining a pragmatic approach.
• A strong intuition for technology, capable of evaluating solutions based on limited information.
• Decisiveness balanced with thoughtful judgment regarding timing for action.
• Confidence in challenging assumptions and suppliers while remaining open to feedback.
• Excellent analytical and abstract thinking skills to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
• A collaborative spirit, particularly in technical sessions with team members and vendors.

• Outstanding presentation and communication skills, simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences.

• Fluency in English (C1); proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
