Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Business Rates Surveyor

We are seeking a driven and qualified professional to join a dynamic and respected property advisory team. This position offers a unique chance to work with a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, delivering expert advice and managing appeals within the realm of business rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Business Rates appeals from initial instruction through to final settlement.
• Review and analyze rateable values across various commercial properties.
• Provide strategic rates mitigation and valuation advice to clients.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals with the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and other relevant parties.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts and support new business initiatives.
• Stay updated on rating legislation, case law, and market developments.

About You

• MRICS or IRRV qualified.
• Proven experience in Business Rates, obtained from the Valuation Office Agency or private practice.
• Strong understanding of rating valuation principles and appeal processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Ambitious, commercially aware, and proactive in approach.
