Role Overview
Join a dynamic team where you will take on a crucial role in shaping the frontend architecture powering our portals within the Real Estate vertical. With a focus on collaboration and innovation, you will be a hands-on technical leader, influencing company-wide strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for frontend across multiple teams, ensuring alignment among engineers, product managers, designers, and senior stakeholders.
- Influence roadmaps and engineering priorities by linking frontend strategy to business outcomes and customer impact.
- Drive a culture of engineering excellence while leading the evolution of the Real Estate frontend architecture.
- Act as a trusted technical leader across teams and locations, shaping web experiences and influencing decisions.
- Design and create shared frontend libraries and tooling that are broadly adopted for practicality and reusability.
- Orchestrate complex multi-system refactors and migrations.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers, facilitating their growth and closing skill gaps within the organization.
- Model constructive feedback culture, aiding team members in navigating challenging conversations.
- Continuously challenge and improve team processes, enhancing focus and quality.
- Engage actively in coding while amplifying the effectiveness of your peers.
Daily Tasks
- Participate in product teams, balancing responsibilities between product delivery and leadership duties based on priorities.
- Innovate and implement frontend engineering solutions across products.
- Facilitate alignment among teams with varying goals, driving clarity and shared ownership on collaborative initiatives.
- Lead the technical vision for key user journeys, emphasizing performance, accessibility, and quality.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and advocate for their resolution while collaborating on cross-functional initiatives.
- Partner with product and design teams to shape technical strategies for new features and platform works.
- Introduce new frontend technologies and ensure effective documentation of findings.
- Guide and review engineers’ work through design and code reviews, encouraging knowledge sharing.
- Promote high-quality engineering practices across areas like monitoring and operational excellence.
Technological Environment
- Frontend: Primarily Vue.js with TypeScript, utilizing a mixture of client-side, server-side, and hybrid web applications.
- Backend: Node.js with a serverless cloud architecture via AWS.
- Monitoring: Implementing practices via Datadog for observability and logging.
- AI & Tooling: Embracing new developments in AI technology within engineering workflows.
Candidate Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks, including frontend testing tools.
- Proven ability to build large-scale frontend applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience in senior technical leadership roles, guiding cross-team initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of effective communication with technical and non-technical partners.
- Exemplary English communication skills, both spoken and written.
