In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of supply chain operations, serving as a technical leader within the data science team. You will join a diverse and dynamic group comprising ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and product managers. Your Responsibilities
- Drive data science initiatives to impact supply chain effectiveness by reducing stockouts and ensuring full order fulfillment through evaluation of technology, algorithms, and processes.
- Design and implement cutting-edge optimization models aimed at creating a more efficient, reliable, and resilient supply chain.
- Lead complex optimization projects from inception to deployment, ensuring scalability and alignment with business requirements.
- Offer expertise on forecasting methodologies and their influence on supply chain performance and optimization.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across various departments to enhance supply chain strategy through data and AI insights.
- Act as a thought leader in supply chain optimization, staying updated on the latest research and technological advancements.
- Mentor and coach fellow data scientists, providing guidance to foster their professional development.
- Assist in developing data science platforms and infrastructure to streamline model building and deployment processes.
Your Background
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in data science, with a focus on optimization within supply chains and a strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and time-series forecasting.
- A Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- A hands-on data scientist with strategic insight, able to lead projects and guide technical decisions.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as familiarity with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Experience with optimization software, such as Gurobi, and an understanding of large-scale data processing frameworks like Spark.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in business terms and align stakeholders with proposed solutions.
