We are seeking a highly skilled individual with proven experience in the culinary arts, specifically focusing on authentic South Indian cuisine. This role is centered around leading the kitchen in a vibrant setting in Switzerland, where you will play a key role in the culinary experience we offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, chutneys, biryani, and curries.
- Lead the development of innovative seasonal and festive menus.
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation in all dishes served to our patrons.
- Manage comprehensive kitchen operations, including supervising staff, scheduling, and optimizing workflow.
- Source high-quality ingredients and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure authenticity and adapt to local availability.
- Implement and uphold Swiss food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and nurture both junior chefs and kitchen staff to elevate team performance.
- Control food costs, monitor portion sizes, and implement waste reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with management on menu pricing, promotions, and organizing special events.
