Responsibilities

The role involves a range of key responsibilities to ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence. Candidates will be expected to:

  • Specialize in preparing authentic tandoori items.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare sauces and curry dishes.
  • Expertly handle the preparation of breads and meats using a Tandoor (traditional Indian clay oven).
  • Plan, direct, and oversee food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Ensure proper garnishing and presentation of food, incorporating innovative cooking techniques.
  • Develop and plan menus while ensuring food quality and portion control.
  • Utilize Tandoori-BBQ specialty equipment with proficiency.
  • Create new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer preferences.
  • Assist in meal design preparation and planning.
  • Recruit and train new kitchen staff to uphold restaurant and kitchen standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of experience and formal qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality is preferred.
  • A commitment to work for a minimum of two years at our establishments in Switzerland.
  • Thorough knowledge of traditional cooking methods and food safety standards.
