The Singapore-ETH Centre, established in 2010, is a collaboration between ETH Zurich - The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore. As ETH Zurich's only international research facility, we aim to develop sustainable solutions to global challenges in Asia and beyond.

Focusing on urban sustainability, resilience, and health, our centre includes notable programs such as the Future Cities Lab Global and Future Health Technologies. By fostering collaboration among researchers, universities, and industry, we strive to convert research into practical solutions for real-world problems.

Project Background

Our Future Health Technologies (FHT2) program, co-funded by NRF, ETH Zurich, and NHG-NTU, brings together experts in various fields to create next-generation digital health solutions. One key initiative under this program involves developing an AI-powered mobile platform that will assess, monitor, and support cognitive health.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a cross-platform mobile and web application focused on cognitive health monitoring and support.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, designers, and clinicians to transition prototypes into scalable software systems.
• Work with technologies including Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android, ReactJS for web frontend, and NodeJS for backend services.
• Implement AI-driven conversational features, integrate APIs, and manage data pipelines.
• Ensure optimal app performance and uphold standards for data security and privacy.
• Support real-world testing and deployment, contributing to system architecture and best practices in software development.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A strong background in modern software development is essential, with expertise in:

• ReactJS for web frontend development
• NodeJS for backend development and API design
• Swift and Kotlin for mobile application development

Full-stack development experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud services, and database systems. Prior experience in mobile app deployment and maintenance on iOS and Android platforms is required.

Experience in UI/UX design and an interest in healthcare applications, AI, and human-computer interaction will be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, a structured approach to software engineering, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are crucial for success.
