Social Media & Community Engagement Responsibilities
We are seeking passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to our humanitarian mission with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The role involves developing and implementing an organic social media approach targeted at French-speaking audiences, reinforcing engagement, and enhancing the overall digital journey for supporters. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and implementing organic social media strategy: Establish and execute strategies for French-speaking audiences that align with MSF Switzerland’s digital engagement objectives.
- Developing social media standards and playbooks: Create and continuously enhance platform-specific playbooks and community engagement practices for consistency and quality.
- Leading content planning and adaptation: Oversee the editorial planning of social media content, ensuring relevance, accessibility, and alignment with audience needs.
- Monitoring social media performance: Collaborate with digital analysts to assess performance data, audience insights, and engagement trends to refine strategies.
- Managing online communities: Foster meaningful interactions across priority social media channels and guide audiences in their engagement journey.
- Coordinating digital initiatives: Align social media activities with broader digital communication objectives through effective coordination and contribution to digital projects.
- Contributing to digital innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Supervising the Digital Engagement Unit intern: Mentor and support the intern, ensuring quality output and alignment with team priorities.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in digital communication, digital marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience: Proven background in digital communication focused on social media management, coupled with experience in developing and implementing strategies and supporting engagement objectives.
- Language Skills: Fluency in French and C1 proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
- Technical Competencies: Familiarity with organic social media management, audience engagement, and community management practices, alongside analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Soft Skills: Strong planning, project coordination, collaboration, and adaptability skills, combined with a creative mindset and the ability to adapt to trends.
Employment Details
This is a full-time role based in Geneva with a gross annual salary ranging from CHF 87,372 to CHF 100,608, commensurate with experience. The position includes:
- Open-ended contract
- Paid vacation of 25 days per year, plus Swiss public holidays
- Pension plan with contributions covered partially by MSF
- Relocation support for eligible candidates
