Role Overview

We seek a detail-oriented and analytical individual to enhance our vessel vetting processes and support shipping operations. The focus will be on ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining data integrity, and delivering high-quality operational analysis to bolster business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vessel Vetting: Lead and supervise the vessel vetting process, ensuring adherence to internal policies, technical standards, and regulatory requirements, while continually improving vetting procedures and reporting frameworks.
  • Shipping Operations: Assist in managing shipping operations for spot and time charter fixtures in collaboration with internal stakeholders when necessary.
  • Support Fuel Cargo Operations: Provide administrative support to the fuel cargo operations team, including port agent nominations validation to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Fleet Management: Maintain and update the fleet list, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the freight desk.
  • Time Charter Control & Validation: Validate time charter entries, ensuring data accuracy per contractual terms and implementing controls for quality improvements.
  • Documentation Management: Develop and organize a centralized repository for key time charter party clauses to enhance accessibility for the shipping team.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Drive advanced analytics and reporting for operations and freight teams, conducting vessel performance analysis and producing regular reports on fleet utilization and operational risks.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Serve as a liaison among operations, chartering, risk, and compliance teams, providing guidance and operational support while engaging in strategic initiatives.

Your Profile

  • 1-3 years of experience in a comparable role or background in auditing.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to process adherence and controls.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or Tableau.
  • Experience in handling large data volumes.
  • Fluency in English.
