As a Development Technician, you will serve as a vital technical resource for our innovative, fully automated Lightspray™ line in Zurich. Your expertise will drive process optimization, new technology integration, and complex problem-solving initiatives, shaping the future of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical mentor and expert resource for the production team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Design, build, and manage a preventive maintenance plan along with a spare parts strategy to ensure long-term operational excellence.
• Lead formal problem-solving teams utilizing Root Cause Analysis to address complex, system-level issues, pushing the boundaries of innovation.
• Set up, integrate, and validate new technologies and equipment on the production line, overseeing all mechanical and electrical installations.
• Program 6-axis robots for new spray paths, and oversee the setup, testing, and troubleshooting of new robot programs to unveil advanced capabilities.
• Interpret and modify PLC logic, tune controllers, and conduct expert-level diagnoses of electrical and control systems.
• Lead safety risk assessments for new equipment and provide advanced safety training to the team.

Your Expertise

• You bring extensive experience in a senior technical or engineering support role within a highly automated manufacturing environment, complemented by strong collaboration skills.
• Your expert-level knowledge spans robotics, PLC programming, control engineering, and intricate mechanical/electrical systems.
• You possess a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage maintenance strategies, and inspire continuous improvement through an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong analytical skills enable you to analyze quality and performance data to pinpoint systemic trends.
• Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities are coupled with a passion for developing technical talent.
• You are fluent in technical English, capable of drafting professional, structured reports, and adept at understanding complex technical documentation.
