Your Role
The Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) Subledger Analytics team seeks a highly motivated individual to lead end-to-end IFRS 17/9 subledger transformation projects involving the complex specification and testing of SAP FPSL accounting processes across diverse global reinsurance markets. You will be instrumental in executing key process changes within the Finance landscape and working closely with colleagues from multiple Business and Product teams throughout the finance process chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Design cross-border financial reporting specifications under IFRS 17/9, converting complex functional requirements into technical SAP FPSL solutions.
- Develop proof-of-concept testing and translate successful approaches into business requirement documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Identify key risks linked to functionality changes and define testing strategies to mitigate these risks, including broader regression risks.
- Conduct regression testing using existing functionality and following the implementation of new changes.
- Effectively present and communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Perform quantitative and financial analysis of IFRS 9/17 results, with the capability to model outcomes across various regulatory regimes beyond Europe.
- Support junior colleagues by investing in their training and knowledge to strengthen the team for the long term.
- Ensure the integrity of multi-source global data through deep-dive analysis using SQL, Stargate, Artemis, and Advanced Excel aligned with IFRS standards.
- Assist in preparing audit documentation and evidence to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results.
About the Team
The Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) unit is responsible for the accurate and consistent reporting of financial information for Swiss Re, facilitating both external reporting and internal analysis crucial for strategic decision-making. This includes the IFRS for the Group and statutory financial information across all Swiss Re legal entities. GFO&T drives the transformation of Global Finance, streamlining processes towards a more effective and forward-looking organization.

About You
You are a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced settings and is adept at handling tight deadlines. Your Profile
- A bachelor's degree in finance, preferably accompanied by a Post-Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
- 8+ years of international experience with IFRS 17/9 implementation in SAP FPSL across multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP FPSL functionalities.
- Recognized subject matter expertise in IFRS 17/9, including applications in emerging markets and integration with actuarial processes.
- Ability to anticipate IFRS 17/9 results based on different accounting scenarios.
- Experience in integrating custom programs into financial processes to enhance input data.
- Proficient in creating clear and concise product documentation for training, maintenance, and support.
- Flexible and resilient under stress, capable of managing workloads while offering support during peak periods.
- A curious, open-minded self-starter who demonstrates initiative.
- Strong teamwork skills, fostering working relationships across technical fields and effectively collaborating within the reinsurance reporting landscape.
- Experience mentoring and training junior colleagues to enhance their capabilities.
- Proactive and enthusiastic about continuous learning and development.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in multiple regulatory frameworks, including US Statutory Reporting and statutory frameworks in Asia/Africa.
- Experience with IFRS 17 implementation using SAP FPSL.
- Background in training and managing small teams.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Hindi is advantageous.
