Your Role

Join the Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) Subledger Analytics team, where you will lead end-to-end IFRS 17/9 subledger transformation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in driving key process changes and collaborating with various teams across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design cross-border financial reporting specifications under IFRS 17/9, converting complex requirements into technical SAP FPSL solutions.
• Develop proof-of-concept testing and document successful approaches for business requirements.
• Ensure effective collaboration with cross-functional teams for successful implementation.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with functionality changes and define testing strategies.
• Perform regression testing, using existing functionality and after new implementations.
• Communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders across functions.
• Conduct quantitative and financial analysis of IFRS 9/17 results under various regulatory frameworks.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Guarantee the accuracy of global data through deep-dive analysis using SQL and advanced analytical tools.
• Assist in preparing audit documentation, ensuring financial result accuracy and completeness.

The GFO&T unit is dedicated to the accurate accounting and reporting of financial information for Swiss Re, facilitating strategic decision-making through reliable external reporting and internal analysis. The team champions the transformation of Global Finance towards a more streamlined and effective organization, creating a collaborative and engaging working environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, preferably with a Post-Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
• 8+ years of international experience with IFRS 17/9 implementation in SAP FPSL across multiple jurisdictions.
• Deep understanding of SAP FPSL functionalities and expertise in IFRS 17/9, including emerging market applications.
• Practical experience in forming expectations for IFRS 17/9 results in various accounting scenarios.
• Ability to document product requirements clearly and concisely for training and support.
• Flexibility and resilience in managing workloads, especially during peak periods.
• Curious, passionate self-starter with a proactive approach to learning and development.
• Team player who builds effective relationships across various technical fields.
• Experience in mentoring junior colleagues to develop their careers and skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of multiple regulatory frameworks, including US Statutory Reporting and frameworks in Asia/Africa.
• Experience in IFRS 17 implementation using SAP FPSL.
• Background in training and managing small teams.
• Fluency in Mandarin or Hindi is a plus.
