Your Responsibilities

• Pursue your independent postdoctoral research project or habilitation.
• Engage actively in at least one of the IAKA research areas.
• Contribute two hours of teaching each week during the semester.
• Enhance the profile of digital methods within departmental research.
• Promote academic discourse on digital methodologies and their applications within the department.

Your Profile

• Possess an excellent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline within IAKA (e.g., Archaeology, Classical Philology, Ancient History, or related fields).
• Demonstrate proven expertise in applying digital methods within Ancient Studies.
• Show a clear commitment to pursuing an academic career.
• Exhibit strong motivation for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Teaching experience is an advantage.
• Display a willingness to engage in further training for higher-education teaching.
• Have a very good command of both German and English; candidates without prior German knowledge should be willing to learn conversational skills within two years.
