Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical and financial assessments of mining assets, particularly focusing on gold and silver, utilizing DCF models and resource-based valuation techniques.
- Prepare comprehensive investment cases, including sensitivity analyses and stress testing to inform decision-making.
- Perform on-site due diligence of mining operations globally, including remote locations, to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Engage in international mining conferences and industry events to stay abreast of market trends and network with industry professionals.
- Collaborate with technical experts, management teams, and industry stakeholders to drive investment strategies and outcomes.
- Assist in investor communication, marketing, and fundraising initiatives to promote our investment portfolio.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MSc) or higher in Finance, Economics, Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in analyzing precious metals mining equities, with a strong technical and financial focus.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing financial models, particularly DCF and resource-based valuation.
- In-depth knowledge of geological and mining concepts, ensuring thorough asset evaluation.
- A well-established professional network within the mining industry, facilitating collaboration and information exchange.
- Experience interacting with brokers and capital markets participants, enhancing market insights.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including to remote locations, to conduct necessary evaluations.
- Familiarity with the Swiss regulatory environment, particularly FinSA conduct rules, is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required to navigate global communications effectively.
