Your Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and refine proprietary trading strategies that consistently drive profitability within our internal risk frameworks.
• Trade short- and long-term contracts across the CWE region with a focus on France, Germany, and beyond, leveraging your unique market perspective.
• Identify and capitalize on cross-commodity opportunities in Gas, Coal, CO₂, and Power spreads, using options expertise to transform volatility into value while managing flexibility.
• Navigate major exchanges such as EEX, EPEX SPOT, Nord Pool, GME, OTE, PXE, and HUPX with creative precision.
• Participate in cross-border auctions and power tenders to turn volatility into opportunity.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who bring the following:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in European Power trading, with at least 4 years of demonstrated success in the CWE markets and disciplined drawdown management.
• Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the European energy transition, including renewables penetration, thermal merit orders, and cross-border flow dynamics.
• Academic Background: A Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Personal Attributes: An entrepreneurial mindset, thinking in terms of risk-reward rather than job descriptions, along with composure under pressure, fluent analytics, and strategic agility.
• Technical Skills: Strong quantitative mindset, with proficiency in Python or SQL preferred for data analysis and back-testing strategies.
• Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German, French, or Italian is a valued advantage.
