Your Mission

  • Lead and coordinate complex technical activities within your specialized field, working independently on high-complexity tasks.
  • Act as the local technical authority for metallic materials and surface treatments, supporting product development and serving as the primary escalation point.
  • Engage proactively across functions, aligning with adjacent engineering disciplines and departments including operations, quality, and procurement.
  • Facilitate continuous improvements in processes and products to meet customer quality, cost, and demand requirements; propose initiatives aimed at enhancing existing products and technologies.
  • Write and review technical documentation, deliverables, and specifications tailored to product and mission-specific needs.
  • Apply project management techniques to achieve cost, technical, and scheduling targets.
  • Manage work packages and tasks, overseeing technical, budget, and scheduling responsibilities.
  • Participate in the Non-Conformance Review Board, recommending technical solutions and conducting risk management activities.
  • Oversee recruitment within your specialization, ensuring essential technical skills are maintained and standardization achieved.
  • Mentor junior engineers and external employees, reviewing their work for quality and accuracy.
  • Provide insights on emerging products, processes, and technologies for engineering leadership.

Your Story

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Material Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of relevant technical experience.
  • In-depth knowledge in:
    • Metallic materials & processes, surface treatments, and adhesive bonding
    • Specialized processes like NDI
    • Qualification, certification, and validation of materials and processes
  • Desirable additional expertise in:
    • Composites, particularly carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP)
    • Non-metallic materials
  • Proven leadership capabilities complemented by outstanding communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the space or aerospace sectors
  • Familiarity with the space industry and marketplace
  • Project management proficiency
