Role Overview

Our Actuarial team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of actuarial support across various domains, including life, non-life, health insurance, reinsurance, and pension funds. Team members often collaborate with Audit & Assurance and other service lines, such as Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory or Technology & Transformation, to tackle large-scale projects. This role integrates you into an experienced project team from the outset, where you will have daily responsibilities in delivering reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for pension topics for Deloitte Switzerland.
  • Lead a variety of client projects, including M&A transactions, pension fund audits, and valuations.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, from proposals and contracts to delivery and invoicing.
  • Drive business development by identifying new business ideas and opportunities with both internal and external clients.
  • Participate in and lead thought leadership initiatives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and training to performance evaluations and promotions.

Qualifications

  • A university degree from ETH or a similar institution in actuarial science, mathematics, physics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Qualification as an actuary “Actuary SAA” or its equivalent.
  • Experience in an actuarial position, preferably within the insurance industry or consulting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a genuine willingness to learn and innovate, as well as a preference for teamwork across diverse fields.
  • Fluency in both German and English, enabling effective communication with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development.
