About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our expanding team as we continue to excel in the financial markets. This strategic position combines deep expertise in financial markets with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and client engagement. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in broadening our international client base while ensuring full compliance with Swiss regulatory mandates, particularly in alignment with our SRO licensing framework.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Markets & Advisory
- Provide guidance and support for SRO licensing processes and ongoing compliance needs.
- Oversee and manage exposure across commodity markets, forex, equity derivatives, and futures.
- Devise and implement hedging and arbitrage strategies that align with the firm’s risk parameters.
- Offer internal advisory on structuring cross-border transactions.
- Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to FINMA-related compliance standards.
Business Development & Client Relations
- Identify, approach, and onboard new clients, with particular emphasis on institutional and professional counterparties.
- Utilize an established international network to generate qualified leads and revenue opportunities.
- Serve as a senior ambassador for the firm at international financial conferences and industry events.
- Establish and maintain enduring relationships with both European and international clients.
- Develop targeted market entry strategies for new client segments or geographic areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and retention processes.
Compliance & Regulatory
- Support ongoing SRO compliance monitoring and reporting initiatives.
- Keep abreast of changes in Swiss and EU financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
Requirements
Essential
- University degree in Finance, Economics, International Economics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in financial markets, commodity trading, or a related field.
- A proven track record in business development with the ability to attract and retain clients.
- Thorough knowledge of Swiss and EU financial regulatory frameworks, specifically SRO structures.
- Hands-on experience with commodity futures, forex, and derivatives trading.
- A strong and active international client network, particularly in the European financial landscape.
- Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in German and other European languages considered a strong asset.
- Ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Confidence in representing the company externally at a senior level.
Preferred
- Experience working across multiple EU jurisdictions.
- A background in self-employed or principal trading roles.
- Familiarity with Eastern European markets and counterparties.
- Active participation in international industry conferences.
- Established relationships with commodity trading houses, brokers, or financial institutions.
