About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our growing team. This is a senior strategic role combining deep financial markets expertise with regulatory compliance advisory and active client acquisition. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our international client base while ensuring our operations remain fully aligned with Swiss regulatory requirements, including our SRO licensing framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Markets & Advisory
- Advise on and support SRO licensing processes and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Monitor and manage exposure across commodity markets, forex, equity derivatives, and futures.
- Develop and implement hedging and arbitrage strategies aligned with firm risk parameters.
- Provide internal advisory on cross-border transaction structuring.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to FINMA-adjacent compliance requirements.
- Business Development & Client Relations
- Actively identify, approach, and onboard new clients, with a focus on institutional and professional counterparties.
- Leverage an established international network to generate qualified leads and revenue opportunities.
- Represent the firm at international financial conferences and industry events as a senior ambassador.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with European and international clients.
- Develop targeted market entry strategies for new client segments or geographies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and retention.
- Compliance & Regulatory
- Support ongoing SRO compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Stay current with evolving Swiss and EU financial regulations.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
Requirements
Essential
- University degree in Finance, Economics, International Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial markets, commodity trading, or a related field.
- Proven track record in business development — demonstrated ability to bring in and retain clients.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Swiss or EU financial regulatory frameworks, including SRO structures.
- Hands-on experience with commodity futures, forex, and derivatives trading.
- Strong and active international client network, particularly within European financial markets.
- Fluent in English and preferably German — additional European languages a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Comfortable representing the company externally at a senior level.
Preferred
- Experience working across multiple EU jurisdictions.
- Background in self-employed or principal trading capacity.
- Familiarity with Eastern European markets and counterparties.
- Active participation in international industry conferences.
- Existing relationships with commodity trading houses, brokers, or financial institutions.
