The Impact You Will Have
In this role, you will be key in shaping the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of Allianz's ART underwriting results and insurance technical balance sheets. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning. Through problem analysis and resolution, you will strive to enhance transparency in financial reporting, while your insights into special effects will contribute to a deeper understanding and proactive management of financial aspects.
Your responsibilities will extend to creating and maintaining efficient workflows that uphold high standards of quality and ensure timely delivery of financial and regulatory reports. You will play a vital role in safeguarding compliance, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of excellence and reliability within the organization.
Specific Responsibilities May Include:
- Overseeing the accurate and timely completion of IFRS and statutory closing and reporting tasks, including monthly closings and regulatory reporting.
- Managing periodic account postings and reconciliations, as well as resolving intercompany transactions within affiliated groups.
- Handling monthly legal entity close submissions, incorporating accrual postings, manual adjustments, and other accounting transactions.
- Conducting checks and controls on underwriting results and insurance technical balance sheets, while analyzing obstacles and reporting on special effects.
- Reconciling and substantiating all assigned accounts, and archiving records to fulfill audit and statutory requirements.
- Drafting standards aimed at improving quality and contributing to the enhancement and implementation of global operation cycles, processes, and policies.
- Reviewing the P&L and balance sheets of ART entities, assisting internal clients with reports and research, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
What You Will Bring
- Extensive knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, Solvency 2, and other related reporting and compliance requirements.
- Professional experience in P&C (re-)insurance accounting, financial audit, controlling, or similar areas, with 3 to 5 years in the field.
- Expertise in finance and insurance, particularly P&C, along with a solid understanding of insurance group complexities for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of efficiently processing data using Excel/Access and effectively communicating insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation; familiarity with SAP tools is a plus.
- High level of competency in interpreting insurance financial statements and performance metrics.
- Adept at managing complex processes such as closing, reporting, and finance operations, with a good grasp of data flows.
- A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance processes within the role and the broader organization.
