Senior Ferroalloys Trader

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in ferroalloys. The ideal candidate should possess a strong track record of profitable sales and established relationships with major Asian ferroalloy users, along with proven experience in new market development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trading strategies for various ferroalloys, including manganese, molybdenum, and chromium.
• Manage and expand new relationships with European and Asian stainless steel and ferroalloy clients.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities in Asia and globally.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients in order to maximize profitability.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and risk management teams to ensure smooth trade execution.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in trading manganese, molybdenum, and chromium ferroalloys.
• A proven track record of profitable sales and established relationships with major Asian ferroalloy users and stainless-steel mills, particularly in Indonesia and Korea.
• Demonstrated success in developing new markets and client networks.
• Fluency in English and at least one major Asian language, such as Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese, or Korean.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial skills.
• Experience in chrome ore and/or iron ore trading is an advantage.
