Core Responsibilities

The following responsibilities outline the crucial aspects of the role:

• Develop and implement capital outlay for the region in collaboration with the senior management team, focusing on Capex optimization. Ensure alignment with company strategy, including the execution of Sail27 within the Capex plan, and the foundations of Carlsberg Excellence and Decarbonization strategy. Address commercial/business needs, product portfolio changes, and regional asset obsolescence while managing brewery infrastructure and business continuity, along with asset risk management.
• Drive the closure of performance gaps and facilitate continuous improvement of Engineering KPIs by effectively utilizing Carlsberg Excellence Methodologies. This involves optimizing engineering costs and operations, incorporating automation and operational technology (OT) practices, and reviewing best practices and failures with a focus on enhancing cost efficiency and performance.
• Ensure that business-driven needs for new materials, technologies, and equipment are efficiently and effectively introduced into operations, leading to the development of new products.
• Engage actively on the shop floor, prioritizing personal interactions through Gemba Walks, coaching, mentoring, and regular engagement with shop floor colleagues.
• Support the capability building of core shop floor teams by facilitating the transfer of Early Equipment Management knowledge, fostering problem-solving initiatives, and promoting cost ownership.
• Contribute to the development of the regional ISC strategy as a member of the regional ISC leadership team.
• Support, drive, and deploy the Group/Regional EHS strategy within the engineering function.
• Ensure that all Carlsberg standard methods, tools, and processes are implemented align with regional and global agreements.
• Actively participate in the regional and global engineering best practices community.
• Develop individuals and local engineering teams, as well as regional engineering teams, in project management and operational technology, in accordance with company guidelines. Foster the development and progression of competencies and skills in alignment with the agreed ISC vision.
