Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of scalable backend services for our AI-powered SaaS platform.
- Development of microservices and APIs using Go, Python, or TypeScript.
- Architecting and operating distributed systems on cloud infrastructure (GCP).
- Optimizing performance, scalability, and system reliability.
- Integration of data sources and development of interfaces for internal AI models.
- Collaborating with front-end and DevOps teams on system design and deployment.
- Ensuring code quality, testing, and comprehensive documentation.
- Contributing to the long-term backend architecture and technical roadmap.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Several years of professional experience as a backend or software engineer in a cloud environment.
- Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C#, or Java.
- Familiar with microservices, event-driven architectures, and API design.
- Skilled in managing databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or Redis.
- Knowledgeable about cloud technologies (GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of system architecture, scaling strategies, and observability.
- Possesses high quality standards, a structured approach to work, and enjoys tackling complex systems.
- Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in German is a plus.
Work Environment and Conditions
This is a permanent full-time position (100%) based in Zurich (Sihlcity). The role offers a modern working environment, characterized by a high degree of personal responsibility and flexible working hours. The start date is negotiable.
