Team Introduction

At SMG, our strength lies in our people. Joining our backend team on platforms like tutti.ch and anibis.ch means collaborating within a dynamic environment guided by the SCRUM methodology. Each product team comprises 2-3 Backend Engineers, a Product Owner, an Engineering Manager, Designers, and Mobile and Web Engineers. Our close-knit teams work alongside the Platform (infrastructure) and Data (BI) teams, ensuring a shared ownership of product domains.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy, and monitor high-quality backend services using Go-based technologies on AWS with Kubernetes.
• Engage in daily deployments supporting over 300k users while maintaining high code standards.
• Participate in code reviews, leveraging GitHub for an efficient deployment process.
• Contribute to maintaining robust test coverage utilizing tools like Testify and ensuring integration tests for databases, Redis, and Kafka.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking individuals who possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience making impactful technical decisions and influencing project outcomes.
• While our primary stack is based on Go, we welcome professionals from diverse programming backgrounds willing to learn and adapt.
• Proven experience with strongly typed languages in complex settings, focusing on building and delivering web services.
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for your work are valued more than a perfect resume.
