Founded in 2008, La Côte International School is a co-educational, English language-based institution that accommodates nearly 430 students aged 2 to 18 years. Your Role

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our academic team. This role will involve:

• Effectively delivering the teaching of the French language (A and B) throughout the secondary school.
• Participating in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP French curricula.
• Liaising with curriculum leaders to ensure the effective delivery and management of resources in the classroom.
• Promoting the health and safety of assigned classes.
• Participating in professional development and contributing to regular staff training and meetings.
• Contributing to various programs including trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Enhancing the professional standing of our teaching body.
• Fostering a positive relationship between the French department and the wider community through cooperative initiatives and competitions.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the French language with QTS status or equivalent.
• A proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years of experience, preferably in an international setting.
• Ability to teach an additional language (Spanish or German) is a significant asset.
• Knowledge and experience in teaching French at IB Diploma and IGCSE levels.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Native French speaker.
• Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in using technology for administration and teaching.
• Capability to inspire mixed culture and ability classes by creating engaging learning opportunities for all students.
• Ability to support students' needs in learning and pastoral matters.
• Clear criminal record and valid work permit are advantageous.
