About the Role
Collaborate with a globally recognized biopharmaceutical organization dedicated to advancing innovative therapies for patients with serious and chronic diseases. As part of an ongoing investment in development sciences, a Scientist will be sought to join the Injectable Formulation Development team on a 12-month contract basis.
This position offers the opportunity to engage in the development of monoclonal antibody and next-generation biologic therapies, supporting programs from early toxicology studies to late-stage clinical development. In a highly collaborative environment, you will work with cross-functional teams across CMC Development, Analytical Sciences, and Clinical Development to deliver high-quality formulations for a diverse biologics pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct formulation and analytical studies to support biologics development programs.
- Perform protein and antibody characterization using a range of analytical techniques.
- Support pre-formulation and formulation development activities in the laboratory.
- Contribute to laboratory organization, resource management, and technical support activities.
- Author protocols, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
- Interpret and present scientific data to project teams and stakeholders.
- Support the evaluation of biochemical and physical degradation pathways affecting biologic stability.
- Collaborate across multiple functional areas to support development milestones.
Key Skills and Requirements
Essential
- MSc or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years' relevant laboratory experience within an industrial or academic setting.
- Experience with protein and antibody analysis techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV Spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, Rheology, MFI, or sub-visible particle analysis.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic team environment.
Desirable
- Experience in biologics formulation development.
- Exposure to laboratory automation technologies.
- Knowledge of monoclonal antibody development and stability assessment.
