Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) serves as the ingredient development partner for both Trouw Nutrition and Skretting. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection, labeling, and preparation of plant and postbiotic bacteria samples for analysis.
- Source and procure plant materials from suppliers, ensuring availability and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with growers and suppliers to manage shipments and align material specifications.
- Track and update the status of all biological material entries and withdrawals.
- Anticipate material needs and manage timely reorders in collaboration with researchers.
- Act as a communication hub between Discovery and Laboratory Groups for project updates.
- Maintain an accurate database of all biological samples, ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Research and recommend sample management software to improve tracking and documentation.
- Implement best practices for sample preservation and maintain research integrity.
- Coordinate sample requests and transfers among scientists, technicians, and partners.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain detailed sample records.
- Manage storage systems to optimize sample longevity and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for sample handling and management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Biology, Botany, Environmental Science, Microbiology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in sample management, laboratory operations, or research logistics.
- Strong proficiency in inventory tracking systems and laboratory software.
- Knowledge of plant biology, microbiology, and preservation techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory software systems and database management tools.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
