Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is vital to our R&D division, where you will leverage your creativity and technical expertise to develop new and innovative solutions in magnetic relays. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new solutions and optimizing the existing product portfolio.
- Serving as a coordination interface between local and global teams.
- Leading complex engineering assignments that require in-depth knowledge of specific disciplines.
- Identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
- Planning and conducting varied analytical studies to evaluate engineering and business aspects of solutions.
This role contributes to the Smart Buildings division within Electrification and is an integral part of the Critical Power Product Line organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Acting as the technical reference for magnetic relays while supporting the product team in developing solutions and addressing problems.
- Serving as a technical project lead, managing other engineers, and assisting in their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a product or design engineer.
- Strong technical knowledge in magnetic and electrical system engineering, particularly in low voltage products.
- Familiarity with magnetic and conductive materials, surface treatment technologies, and precision mechanical and electrical interfaces.
- Expertise in residual current protective devices (RCDs).
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Solidworks) and Microsoft Office applications.
- A high degree of self-motivation with a results-oriented approach and a positive attitude.
- Experience in problem-solving methodologies and product change management.
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written, along with strong communication skills.
