Located in Basel, Switzerland, this position plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, compliant laboratory operations. The role requires in-depth bioanalytical expertise to support the laboratory team in efficient execution of analytical activities, investigations, and data review processes.

About the Role

In a GxP-regulated environment, responsibilities include:

  • Performing bioanalytical release and stability testing in compliance with cGxP and data integrity requirements.
  • Preparing, evaluating, and reporting on project-related protocols, plans, trend analyses, and testing activities.
  • Implementing new product testing into the routine laboratory and supporting method development and validation activities.
  • Managing analytical weak points, performing complex troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement of laboratory workflows.
  • Reviewing analytical data and tests to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
  • Handling OOx results and deviations, defining CAPAs, and contributing to effective investigation processes.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, preparing maintenance and calibration plans.
  • Acting as SPoC or SME for bioanalytics initiatives and contributing to relevant documentation workflows and technical authoring.
  • Supporting sample planning, sampling execution, supplier qualification, and KPI/KQI trending and analysis.
  • Following all HSE guidelines, proactively identifying and reporting potential risks, proposing solutions, and participating in required trainings.

Essential Requirements

  • Technical education with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a university degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or equivalent with 0-4 years of working experience.
  • Professional experience in the pharmaceutical sector, active substance manufacturing, or analytical laboratories within a GMP environment or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of Quality Control testing, QC sampling, laboratory excellence, and related GxP standards and processes.
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment and supporting analytical or quality-related laboratory activities.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams, departments, and functions.
  • Result-oriented mindset with strong analytical thinking, resilience, and a focus on operational excellence.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt to digital tools, technologies, and evolving processes.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and standard IT applications supporting quality activities.
  • Sound quality decision-making skills and understanding of industry quality standards.
  • Good written and spoken English skills; fluency in German is a plus.

As part of our team, you will find competitive compensation and benefits designed to support both personal and professional growth. The expected annual base salary ranges from CHF63,980.00 to CHF118,820.00, dependent on skills, competencies, and experience.
