Your Crew

You will join an energetic team of six experienced buyers at our Zurich Seebach office. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a seamless flow of goods, materials, and information throughout the supply chain, working closely with various internal stakeholders. This diverse team brings together highly skilled buyers and specialists from different backgrounds, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

Your Mission

• Source, evaluate, and engage reliable suppliers that meet technical, economic, and quality requirements, establishing strong long-term partnerships.
• Issue and manage requests for quotation for prototype, flight, and serial parts/materials, including production jigs and tools.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless project procurement and proactive risk mitigation.
• Negotiate prices and conditions while closely aligning with Commodity Managers.
• Drive continuous optimization of total cost of ownership (TCO) and lead savings initiatives.
• Ensure all externally sourced BOM parts, materials, and jigs are available per project milestones.
• Identify deviations in cost, schedule, or quality, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate ERP procurement article data, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
• Prepare and approve purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and confirm receipt of goods and services.
• Support customer offer calculations with accurate procurement cost overviews.
• Align procurement activities with materials management and production planning requirements.
• Participate in supplier qualification and performance monitoring.
• Manage and resolve supplier quality claims, driving continuous improvement.

Your Story

• Completed technical and/or commercial education with 5+ years of technical and operational sourcing experience.
• Strong background in global sourcing with solid technical understanding.
• High awareness of cost and quality, coupled with a strong drive for results.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Experience in project-driven environments and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and procurement administration processes.
• Experience in the space or aerospace sector is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Lean and Six Sigma training or experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with a willingness to travel up to 20%.
