Key Responsibilities
- Define standardized machining repair processes and ensure compliance with applicable quality and standards of the OEM, customers, and internal processes.
- Manage Peening, Milling, Turning, Grinding processes and their support functions.
- Conduct continuous improvement initiatives using Safety, Lean, Quality, and Engineering tools such as Kaizen Events, SPC, FPY, OEE, and Problem Solving Methods.
- Provide coaching and training to operations colleagues, ensuring the application of best-in-class manufacturing principles.
- Support industrialization projects according to plan (SQDCP) and identify mitigations as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Repair Engineering, Tooling Engineering, and Shop Engineering to maintain safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Desired Profile
- Experience with NC/CNC manufacturing processes including peening, milling, turning, grinding, and associated support operations.
- Competence in developing and optimizing programs for 6-axis robotic systems such as ABB and KUKA platforms.
- Ability to create NC/CNC machining programs both with and without CAD/CAM software, while ensuring precision and production efficiency.
- Strong knowledge in manufacturing and aerospace MRO, upholding safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Proven project management experience and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives leveraging lean manufacturing and quality methodologies.
- Effective in both independent and cross-functional team settings, exhibiting a proactive and flexible approach to task execution.
- A solid mechanical engineering background (BSc/MSc or equivalent) along with fluent English communication skills. Knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
