Overview

This role plays a critical part in shaping strategic objectives and ensuring the alignment of business goals across regions. The individual will be expected to develop and execute strategies that are responsive to market demands and foster sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy Development and Implementation:
  • Define and align regional objectives with broader growth plans and budgets.
  • Develop and implement global product and business strategies, focusing on portfolio expansion.
  • Create a comprehensive global business plan, including budgets and forecasts in collaboration with regions.
• Divisional Management:
  • Steer sales activities in collaboration with regional management.
  • Optimize payment terms and provide insights during regional negotiations.
  • Monitor business performance across various metrics and assess new partnerships.
  • Manage projects addressing market trends and improve customer value.
  • Lead training initiatives for principals and ensure compliance with sustainable practices.
  • Conduct regular SWOT analyses and manage portfolio strategies.
  • Define inventory guidelines and communicate action plans for optimization.
• Communication:
  • Build and nurture relationships with key partners and principals.
  • Conduct open performance reviews and create joint marketing strategies.
  • Lead negotiations and develop exhibition programs with principals.
  • Ensure effective communication to maintain principal satisfaction and alignment with long-term strategies.
• People Management:
  • Foster talent development and recruitment within the division.
  • Create developmental programs in collaboration with HR for management and sales.
  • Support the creation of an effective organizational structure and succession planning.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business and/or Polymer Science disciplines.
• Over 10 years of global experience in sales and product management within Polymer Distribution.
• Strong relationship-building skills at senior management levels.
• Proficient communication abilities, capable of engaging with diverse groups.
• Team-oriented with a mindset for collaboration in a matrix environment.
• Creative and analytical thinking skills coupled with strong presentation capabilities.
• A deep understanding of the relevant industry and markets.
• Excellent intercultural communication skills and fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally, up to 50% of the time.
