The Planetary Geochemistry group at ETH Zurich focuses on understanding the formation and evolution of planets in our Solar System. Operating within the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology, we are committed to advancing knowledge in Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable researcher with a strong foundation in laboratory analysis of terrestrial and/or extraterrestrial samples. Collaboration, research independence, and a solid academic background are essential attributes for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in Earth and Planetary Sciences in alignment with the group’s scientific profile.
• Develop innovative research directions with potential for competitive funding.
• Engage in teaching and supervision across Bachelor's, Master's, and doctoral levels.
• Support the team in research, laboratory activities, and scientific operations.

Candidate Profile

• PhD in Geochemistry, Cosmochemistry, Earth or Planetary Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Research experience in analytical geo- or cosmochemistry.
• Expertise in high precision isotope analyses and familiarity with clean laboratory environments.
• Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative team player.
• Experience in supervising students is advantageous.
