The Stroke Research Center in Bern stands at the forefront of clinical stroke research globally. With a legacy of over three decades in translational research, we are known for our innovative studies that have reshaped guidelines through international randomized controlled trials. Our interdisciplinary team comprises experts from neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology, and we collaborate extensively with various specialties, including cardiology and emergency medicine.
What You Can Expect
We seek an enthusiastic post-doc or clinical research fellow ready to engage in patient-oriented research projects across the broad spectrum of stroke medicine. Special emphasis will be placed on intracerebral hemorrhage, cardioembolic strokes, and anticoagulation management for stroke patients.
Your Responsibilities
- Screen, enroll, and follow up with patients in ongoing clinical research projects.
- Maintain and update the stroke registry, ensuring high-quality data accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary research team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, and other specialists.
- Have the opportunity to design and conduct individual research projects with guidance from senior investigators.
- Engage with international collaborators and contribute to stroke research networks.
Your Profile
- Medical degree (MD), with preferred clinical experience in neurology or stroke.
- Demonstrated interest in cerebrovascular medicine; prior publications are a plus.
- Strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to collaborative research.
- Transparent, organized, and independent work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in both German and English (minimum B2 level).
