Project Background
The Plant4Value project, led by esteemed professionals, aims to innovate and evaluate approaches for transforming agri-food systems to meet sustainability goals in Switzerland. It seeks to enhance plant-based value creation and improve nutritional outcomes through integrated pilot projects encompassing production, processing, trade, and consumption. The project confronts various economic, social, and political barriers to facilitate this transformation.
Engagement in Research
This opportunity invites candidates to immerse themselves in an inter- and transdisciplinary research setting. There are two roles available, each focused on distinct areas of the agri-food value chain. One candidate will delve into consumer choice and demand-driven policies, while the other will concentrate on production and processing aspects.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a strong academic background, with an excellent Master's degree relevant to Political Science, Business and Economics, Behavioral Science, Public Policy, or Food and Agricultural Economics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in R and Python, with additional knowledge in survey design and experimental methods being advantageous.
- Exhibit a strong interest in agri-food and environmental topics, particularly within the context of Switzerland.
- Have strong proficiency in both German and English.
- Showcase excellent interpersonal skills and a motivation to collaborate effectively with project teams and partners.
