As a prominent player in the power generation sector, our company is an integrated operator capable of delivering turnkey power plants using proprietary technology and resources. We invite you to explore an exciting opportunity within our Thermal Integration department in Baden (AG), focusing on the advancement of our gas turbine products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Thermal Integration team is dedicated to designing the gas turbine thermodynamic cycle and its secondary air system. This involves managing interfaces with various components such as the compressor, combustor, turbine, and structural parts while optimizing each component for diverse operational conditions.

• Develop engine operating concepts and modes to achieve power, efficiency, emissions, and lifetime targets, collaborating closely with component teams to ensure competitiveness and flexibility.
• Create performance datasets for design and guarantee purposes and support specific project requests from the tendering team.
• Maintain and enhance our in-house cycle performance toolset.
• Assist project engineering by generating project-specific design data and specifications.
• Specify and support engine tests, as well as aid in test execution.
• Evaluate field and test measurements to analyze and validate gas turbine performance and operational behavior.
• Provide on-site support for engine adjustments.

What We Are Looking For

• A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• University specialization and/or industrial experience in aero-thermal design and engineering of turbo machinery or closely related disciplines.
• Experience in gas turbine engineering, performance calculations, and modeling.
• A strong understanding of gas turbine and combined cycle power plant thermodynamics.
• Knowledge of programming languages is advantageous.
• A self-motivated and confident team player with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites occasionally (approximately 10% of the time, worldwide).
• Proficient in English, and German is advantageous; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
